*SOME KEY POINTS:*

1. This Post, and others like these, are *Announcements*. That means they are ALWAYS at the top.

2. Further, they are "locked," meaning nobody can respond/reply to them. This leaves the primary information always at the top and always untouched.

3. If people wish to discuss "locked" threads or "announcements," they may start their own thread in the basic forum.

*Now for Marks last update*

Hello All-

Monday was Memorial Day. While it was a day off for most of us and a chance to usher in the unofficial start of summer, I hope each of you found a moment -- as I did -- to reflect on why Memorial Day is a national holiday. Formerly known as Decoration Day, it commemorates men and women who died while in military service for the United States. For many of us, some of those individuals were family members, schoolmates or friends. But whether or not we have that personal connection, we owe those dead our respect and a debt that can't easily be repaid. The best way to honor their sacrifice is to hold dear what they fought for.
